Our Technology

Advanced Dental Technology at San Mateo Dental Care

At San Mateo Dental Care, we are committed to providing our patients with the latest dental technologies and techniques to enhance their dental experience. Our state-of-the-art equipment allows us to provide faster, more comfortable, and more effective treatments. Here are some of the advanced technologies we use in our practice:

CEREC is a cutting-edge technology that allows us to create custom-made dental crowns, inlays, and onlays in a single visit. Using 3D imaging, CEREC creates a digital impression of your teeth, eliminating the need for traditional putty impressions. Our CEREC machine then mills your new restoration out of a single block of ceramic material while you wait, so you can leave our office with a fully restored tooth in just one appointment.

The PREXION 3D X-ray machine is an advanced imaging system that provides us with high-quality, detailed images of your teeth and jaws. Unlike traditional X-rays, the PREXION 3D X-ray machine captures three-dimensional images of your mouth, allowing us to see your teeth, bones, and tissues from all angles. This technology helps us diagnose and plan treatments with greater accuracy and precision.

The PICASSO LITE Laser is a state-of-the-art device that we use for a variety of dental procedures, including periodontal therapy, soft tissue surgery, and teeth whitening. The laser delivers energy in the form of light, which we can use to precisely remove or reshape tissue without the need for traditional cutting or stitching methods. This results in less pain, swelling, and bleeding for our patients, and faster healing times.

Other Advanced Technologies

In addition to the above technologies, we also use other advanced equipment, including digital X-rays, intra-oral cameras, and ultrasonic scalers. Digital X-rays produce images that are clearer, faster, and safer for the patient. Intra-oral cameras allow us to get a closer, more detailed look at your teeth and gums. Ultrasonic scalers use high-frequency sound waves to remove plaque, tartar, and other deposits from your teeth, making them more effective and efficient than traditional scaling instruments.

At San Mateo Dental Care, we are dedicated to providing our patients with the highest quality dental care to help them achieve and maintain a healthy, beautiful smile. If you have any questions about the technologies we use, or if you would like to schedule an appointment with our experienced dentist, Dr. Glenn Belen, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
